Emila Duka is a University College London (UCL) graduate, awarded an Integrated Master’s degree in Chemistry with First Class Honours. Her master's research involved advanced experimental work at Diamond Light Source, the UK’s national synchrotron facility, where she analysed materials for device applications using high-energy X-rays. For the quality and distinction of her dissertation, she received the UCL Nyholm Prize from the Department of Chemistry. Her academic excellence also earned her a place on the Dean’s List, recognising the top 5% of students within the Maths & Physical Sciences Faculty. 

Emila is deeply committed to science education, with particular passion for developing students’ confidence and interest in Chemistry. Drawing on her experience tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry, she emphasises conceptual clarity, guiding students through complex topics by building a strong foundational understanding. Her approach integrates connections across topics to help students see the broader structure of the subject and approach it with greater confidence and insight.
