Briana is a third-year BSc (Hons) Economics and Finance student at the University of Surrey, specialising in tutoring GCSE and A-Level Economics. Having achieved consistent A/A* grades in A-level Economics, Briana is committed and passionate about helping students succeed in the subject. In previous tutoring experience, she has supported A-level Economics students in raising their performance from Cs to A/A*s. Her goal is not only to help students progress academically, but also to build a deeper and more confident understanding of Economics.

At university, Briana has maintained strong academic performance, excelling in modules such as Microeconomics (81%), Macroeconomics (72%), Quantitative Methods (81%), Econometrics (82%), and Quantitative Portfolio Theory & Investment (78%).

Her tutoring approach is centred on conceptual clarity through visual learning (graphs) and real-world examples. Complex topics are simplified by providing clear contextual background and guiding students through logical chains of reasoning and connections between concepts—ensuring both an understanding of underlying mechanisms and the bigger picture. She also places strong emphasis on knowledge application through exam preparation, with sessions prioritising exam technique and practice on exam-style questions. Through structured written responses and targeted feedback, Briana ensures that students can clearly and concisely articulate their understanding.

Whether a student is aiming to improve grades, prepare for upcoming exams, or gain a stronger grasp of Economics, Briana tailors each session to their individual needs and learning style.
