Over 5 years’ experience guiding children as young as 3 in literacy and numeracy development, Published Author in the Oxford University Press, Awarded the prestigious Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship.
I am a bespoke Mathematics tutor providing personalised mentoring sessions to young learners in the central London region, with over five years’ experience supporting children at key developmental stages of their education.
Alongside my tutoring practice, I am a published author with Oxford University Press and a recipient of prestigious international fellowships, reflecting a strong academic and professional foundation.
My sessions are reserved for families who place a high value on education, individual attention, and long-term confidence building. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of sustained academic guidance and the impact that early, positive experiences with Maths can have on a child’s future learning and self-belief.
I have supported students facing a wide range of challenges, from maths anxiety and low confidence to helping highly motivated learners perform at their best in academic writing competitions.
My approach focuses on building secure foundations, encouraging curiosity, and helping students feel calm and capable when engaging with mathematical concepts.
My lessons are designed to create, sustain, and strengthen a strong foundational learning experience, particularly for younger learners. I often travel to my tutee’s residence to ensure sessions are as comfortable and well-integrated as possible, which is especially beneficial for early-years and primary-aged students.
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Maastricht University, an International Diploma in Management and Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Public Health Policy and Management Fellowship from Emory University, bringing a broad, interdisciplinary perspective to my teaching and mentoring.
About the lesson:
My Mathematics lessons are designed for families who value strong foundations, personal attention, and long-term confidence building, particularly in the early and formative stages of learning. As a parent myself, I deeply understand the importance of creating positive early experiences with Maths, experiences that replace anxiety with curiosity, confidence, and enjoyment.
I specialise in play-based mathematical learning, especially for younger students, where concepts such as number, pattern, and shape are introduced through hands-on exploration. By using toys, household objects, colours, and visual aids, I help children understand abstract ideas in a natural and engaging way. This approach is particularly effective for building number sense, spatial awareness, and early problem-solving skills.
My sessions are carefully structured to create, sustain, and strengthen a solid mathematical foundation, while remaining calm, supportive, and enjoyable. I often travel to my tutee’s residence to ensure lessons are comfortable and well integrated into the child’s routine, which is especially important for EYFS and primary-age learners.
I have supported a wide range of students, from those experiencing maths anxiety to ambitious learners aiming to excel in academic writing and competitions. With younger learners, building a warm and trusting bond is essential, once a child feels comfortable, learning becomes engaging, interactive, and genuinely fun.
Lessons typically combine guided textbook work with interactive, play-based activities. This balance allows students to develop both technical accuracy and conceptual understanding, while staying motivated and focused throughout the session.

Reviews

Arta is a fantastic teacher. My 3 years old daughter can't wait for next lesson. We've been using Axiom for 6 months, and the progress that my daughter made is astonishing. There is zero stress involved in the lessons, but the results are amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's struggling with being a parent and a teacher.

We had a great experience with Arta. She began working with our son just a few months before his 7+ exam, when he was struggling with both reading comprehension and maths and not enjoying the preparation. Arta made what could have been a stressful process into one our son genuinely enjoyed, building his confidence through playful, engaging sessions before moving into exam-focused work. Arta also kept us closely involved, providing regular feedback and clear guidance on how to support him between tutoring sessions. Thanks to her, our son improved dramatically, stayed calm and confident, and ultimately secured a place at our hoped-for school. We are very grateful and would absolutely recommend her for other children.
